What Care Pros Love About Their Jobs
Our Care Pro’s fall in love with our clients and our clients fall in love with them! We make personal introductions between new Care Pro’s and clients, discussing the client’s care plan and history together and making sure everyone’s comfortable from the start.
Pay Rate ($13-$17 an hour)
Based on experience, open availability, willingness to travel, and ability to work with all clients.

Please note: Health insurance is available for full-time employees (30+ hours per week) and after 90 days of full-time employment. We do not provide health insurance or vacation for part-time employees.

There’s no special training necessary. We invest in you from the start. We have the only in-house training center in this area. We pay for your background check and Care Pro training. We teach you the law, the skills, the safety, and everything you need to be successful on the job.
The only thing we can’t train is the heart – so it’s the biggest requirement you must bring.
Job Overview, Part-Time Care Pro
As a part-time Care Pro, you’ll join the Home Instead team, working with aging clients in their homes and providing them with one-on-one care that allows them to live better for longer in their own homes.
Every day is different because human beings are different every day! You’ll bring your heart, your helping attitude, and the people skills you’ve acquired in life as well as the special training we provide you.
We are looking to fill multiple, part-time Care Pro positions for flexible shifts that work well for students, retirees, from 20 up to 30 hours a week.
Your duties may include:
- Leaving shift comments for family and staff to review
- Providing companionship and supportive listening
- Reporting changes in the health or status of the client
- Feeding clients
- Responding to emergency situations
- Transporting clients to appointments
- Facilitating community and recreational outings, including transport
- Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities
- Light Housekeeping and Laundry
- Personal care assistance, including bathing and toileting

In addition to your compassionate heart and natural caregiving skills, here are some (but not all) requirements you must satisfy:
- Clean DMV record
- Ability to pass a national background check
- Drug screen
- Tuberculosis Test
- Safe, reliable transportation available to you at all times
